We went to the Buffalo Grove spray park for the first time & really enjoyed it. All the kids & the 2 Grandma's. We stayed for 4 + hours! The kids didn't want to leave. I was happy to be there because it is all fenced in & it isn't too big of a place so I can always see them running around.

We spent the day at home playing inside and out back. D'Angelo loves to spray everything & everyone with the hose. Auggie went swimming while Adeline splashed her feet in the baby pool. Adeline also spent a good amount of time running away from D while he tried to squirt her with the hose.
dinner is exhausting!
D'Angelo looked tired when we sat down to eat but I didn't expect this...
I bet he'll be up at 2am telling me, "I'm hungry, so hungry".

Adeline relaxing in the tent in Grandma & Papa's yard. My mom sets up the tent so they have a shaded playroom outside.

Here's Adeline visiting moo's at my Mom's friends farm.

So, I added these pictures in the wrong order...the top pic here is actually the lastest part of the evening on Friday & the berry picking was late afternoon.

It took Grandma lots of stain cleaner to get my pretty outfit clean after all these berries!

Potty Training

Whoever thought it was a good idea to put the picture on the butt of underware didn't have kids! D'Angelo only wants to wear his underware backwards because the pics are on the butt. I have also figured out that if he has on Lightening McQueen underware he has less accidents because he wants to keep wearing them. No other charecter gets this treatment...I guess I should follow his lead and buy more Cars underware.

We spent the day lounging around the house.

Let's read together : )

The boys went to the Dairy Breakfast with Grandma & Papa this weekend. They made a "sandbox" for the kids to play in and filled it with feed corn for the day. Lots of fun & no sand to clean off the kids! They also had lots of animals for the kids to see & pet.

I finally had the twins pictures taken! I was very happy that they cooperated and we got some cute shots. I think it went so smoothly because it was just me & the twins. Once you add more kids to the mix chaos ensues. I already warned the photographer that I wanted to do a picture of all 5 kids sometime soon. She suggested waiting until we do our Christmas photo- what a chicken. LOL.

ICHE Conference

Rick & I attended the ILLINOIS CHRISTIAN HOME EDUCATORS CONFERENCE in St. Charles IL Thursday thru Saturday. We were lucky enough to attend all three days because my Dad & Deb took D’Angelo, Auggie & Adeline to Michigan for the holiday weekend while my Mom took care of the twins.
This was the first time we attended an ICHE conference and we are so happy we did. It was truly an awesome weekend filled with spiritual encouragement, practical help, and fellowship. Our favorite part of the conference was hearing Dr. Voddie Baucham ... The man is an incredibly powerful preacher. We bought a bunch of his cd’s and already started listening to them. We also purchased the KONOS curriculum which seems fantastic. It focuses on character traits using unit studies that can be taught to multiple grade levels at a time. It requires lots of hands-on-learning which I love. We also bought a ton of other great stuff at the conference.

A little bit about Voddie Bauchman
From the ICHE website:
Dr. Voddie Baucham has been referred to as an "Evangelist to intellectuals." He is one of the most sought after preachers of his generation. His unique blend of sound biblical exposition, theological content, down-to-earth demeanor and engaging presence make it clear why this man is considered a modern day prophet. Dr. Baucham is a graduate of Southwestern & Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminaries. He has also done additional post-graduate study at the University of Oxford in England. His academic emphasis is Cultural Apologetics. Vodie is an author, Bible teacher, professor and pastor. He currently serves as Pastor of Preaching at Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, Texas.
More importantly, he is a husband and father who is actively involved in his children's home education.
